Rare Water recently had the opportunity of replacing a popular steel coated and lined brand with its ProFlo ductile iron pipe.

 

The steel pipe was installed but on commissioning, it was discovered that due to poor adhesion/ handling or installation factors that 3000 metres of the installed pipe had failed.

 

Rare Water was consulted to provide a solution. This resulted in educating the consultant, contractor and end user on the benefits of ductile iron and specifically for the contractor, onsite training on how to install the pipe.

 

Rare Water was therefore granted the order to replace the entire line with its ProFlo ductile iron pipe brand.

 

The pipe at time of writing has successfully been installed and commissioned. This has also resulted in ProFlo ductile iron pipe being earmarked for new projects by the end user and the consulting engineer. Just another example of how RARE provides complete fluid conveyance solution.
