RARE Water, following competitive tendering processes was successful in renewing its contracts for the management of the dams in the Limpopo provinces. The philosophy of the contractual arrangements is one of partnering – working together with the Department of Water Affairs (DWAF) to achieve desired outcomes – whilst providing RARE Water with a system that allows for ‘hands-on’ management of dam assets. RARE Water also manages DWAF dam assets in the North West Province in terms of a bi-annual contract in addition to the Limpopo province. RARE Water plans to continue rolling out its unique brand of service and ability into other provinces as and when other bi-annual maintenance contracts come up for renewal.
