Aqualok Mechanical Couplings
Aqualok mechanical style couplings comprise a complete range including Superfit, EasiFit, StepFit, Gripper and various others, including special couplings made to customer requirements. All mechanical style couplings are based on tried-and-tested connection principles utilising our unique, patented rubber gaskets and connector principles.
Aqualok SuperFit Wide Range Couplings
Aqualok SuperFit coupling optimises stockholding and simplifies installation. This is achieved by providing a tolerance range of up to 23mm in certain sizes.
The Aqualok SuperFit Coupling product range includes Couplings, Stepped Couplings, Flange Adapters and other specialized fittings such as an universal end caps. Products are available from sizes 50mm to 700mm. The rnge now also includes the Large Diameter Aqualok SuperFit Couplings. This makes Aqualok SuperFit Couplings the most complete wide tolerance coupling range available anywhere in the world.
Aqualok Stepfit Stepped Couplings
Aqualok StepFit Couplings and Flange Adapters are designed and manufactured to fit on pipes of varying nominal bore where the pipes to be connected on either side excludes the use of the Aqualok SuperFit range. Aqualok StepFit Couplings and Flange Adapters are unique in that they provide a wide tolerance facility and the unique nature of the Aqualok gasket ensures very little point pressure; negating need for a profile plate. For sizes above 600mm, dedicated Aqualok EasiFit couplings are joined to make up the required step. Special sizes of step couplings can be made to the customer’s requirements requirements.
Aqualok Special Couplings
Aqualok SuperFit couplings are available in a variety of reducing couplings and flange adapters to accommodate widely varying pipe sizes. Reducing couplings and flange adapters can be made to any specific customer requirements by combining our fabrication and coupling manufacturing capabilities. Customised manufacture of almost any special coupling or flange can also be undertaken to 3500mm.
Aqualok Gripper Couplings
Aqualok Gripper Couplings are the ultimate solution for the unique problems posed in polyethylene and PVC pipe installations. Complete with a machined gripper ring to resist pipe pullout, these exciting new products are easy to install, requiring minimal effort to fasten. As with all other Aqualok products, the Aqualok Gripper offers unrivalled sealing performance and eliminates the need for expensive and bulky fusion jointing or solvent welding equipment. These products can easily be used for repairs as they don't need to be disassembled and can be simply placed on the pipe and tightened. It is also not necessary to chamfer pipe ends before installation, contributing to the ease of use of these products.
Aqualok Gripper couplings are available for PVC and polyethylene pipes from 63mm to 315mm. All Aqualok Gripper couplings and flange adapters are supplied complete with a Rilsan Nylon 11 coating as standard corrosion protection.
Aqualok End Caps
Available in the Aqualok range is SuperFit Endcaps for testing or plugging a pipe end. These endcaps come complete with a SuperFit coupling on one end to provide for a wide range of pipe diameters. Various sockets can also be supplied upon request for testing purposes. Endcaps are available ins a wide size range.
Aqualok Superfit PLUS long Barrel Couplings
SuperFit PLUS range of long barrel couplings is suited for use with HDPE pipe. A special long barrel complete with SuperFit end-rings provide ample space for pipe movement.
Aqualok EasiFit range of Dedicated Couplings
The Aqualok EasiFit range of Dedicated Couplings and Flange Adaptors are designed for plain ended pipes of the same outside diameter with nominal bores from 600mm to 3600 mm. The EasiFit Dedicated range is primarily used on new lay schemes and installations where the pipe size is known and the wide tolerance range of the Aqualok SuperFit coupling is not required or available. Aqualok EasiFit Dedicated Couplings and Flange Adapters can be made suitable for use with tie-bars providing full end load restraint.
Tie-bar assemblies can be adapted to facilitate pipe restraint. Fusion Bonded Epoxy coating removes the need for further on site protection .Removable central registers can be supplied for specific applications of the EasiFit Dedicated Couplings. Protective Plastic Shrinkwrap is standard on all Aqualok EasiFit Couplings.

Aqualok Stainless Steel Repair Clamps
Aqualok Repair Clamps provide a fast, economical means of repairing breaks, holes, cracks or other types of damage to steel, PVC, AC Pipesand other types of rigid pipe. This clamp comes with an overlapping gasket with moulded tapered ends that provides efficient equalised sealing on the surface of any pipe within the clamp's range. The gasket has a fine waffle surface with theresilience to easily conform to irregularities on rough pipe surfaces or in pitted areas, providing an effective seal all around the pipe. A corrosion protected armour plate spans the opening of the lugs and is bonded flush into the gasket to prevent wrinkling in the lug area, providing even gasket pressure at all points around the full circumference of the pipe. Rare-Tech Resilient Seated Gate Valves
Rare-Water supplies under its Rare-Tech brand a range of RSV valves in diameters DN50 to DN600 and for pressure ratings of PN10, PN16 and PN25. Valves are supplied as standard, with fusion bonded epoxy powder coating. The wedge of each valve is fully rubber encapsulated and fully guided to eliminate distortion of the spindle under high pressure differentials. Valves in sizes DN50 to DN300 are available either flanged or socketed and valve operation is either by captop or hand wheel.
In addition, valves are available in either a rising spindle or non rising spindle design in conformance to SABS 664 or 665 face to face dimensions.
Rare-Tech Rubber-lined Butterfly Valves
Rare-tech Rubber-lined Butterfly Valves are utilised as general purposes isolating valves and are available in a wafer pattern design in sizes DN50 to DN600 and for pressure ratings of PN10 and PN16.
Maxi-Pro High Performance Butterfly Valves
Rare Water’s Maxi-Pro range of high performance butterfly valves are available in either a double or triple offset design for PN10/PN16, PN25, PN40 and PN64 pressure ratings. Valves are available in sizes DN 50 to DN1200. Larger diameters are available on request.
Maxi-Pro High Performance Double Offset Design Butterfly Valves
The Maxi-Pro double offset design is available with seat in disc or seat in body configuration and either a rubber seal or metal to metal seat arrangement. Valves are available as standard in fusion bonded ductile iron construction with valve trim in stainless steel 316 as standard.
Material of construction can be varied to client’s need or the valves can be rubber lined for corrosive applications. Exposed metals can be supplied in Aluminium Bronze, Duplex or Double Duplex.
Valves are available in PN10/PN16, PN25 and PN40 pressure ratings and in sizes DN 50 to DN1200. Larger diameters are available on request.
Maxi-Pro High Performance Triple Offset Butterfly Valves
The Maxi-Pro triple offset design is a double flanged, seal in disc design. The valves are available with a variety of seating material options. Materials of construction are Cast Steel as standard. The valve can be supplied in a variety of exotic steels to suit application needs.
Rare-Tech Double Door Check Valves
Rare-Tech Double Door Wafer Check Valves have been specifically designed as a cost effective and efficient form of pump protection. The valve design is most suitable for irrigation, industrial and small diameter pressure mains, especially where quick closure is required to prevent waterhammer and/or where space is limited in the pump house.
The Rare-Tech Double Door is a compact wafer design with disc configuration and internal flow path construction for increased sensitivity to flow. The valve’s Stop Pin is designed to minimize disc flutter and the disc construction ensures positive seating at all pressures . Thrust Bearing in the design reduces friction and wear during operation.
Standard materials of construction is fusion bonded epoxy powder coated ductile cast iron bodies with stainless steel 304/316 disc and trim. Valves are available in sized DN50 to DN300 and for pressure ratings of PN16
Maxi-Pro Nozzle Type Check Valves
Rare-Tech provides a range of low headloss co-axial Nozzle Type check valves. These valves are specifically designed to reduce surge and waterhammer in pipelines and are available in in sizes DN50 to DN1200. Rare-Tech Socketed Ductile Iron Fittings for PVC Pipe
Rare-Tech provides a complete range of socketed Ductile Iron fittings for use on PVC pipes. The range is supplied as standard with a fusion bonded epoxy powder coating to prevent tramline corrosion. ProFlo Ductile Iron Pipe
Rare Water’s ProFlo ductile iron pipe range is available in diameters DN80 to DN2600 an in Class K8 and K9. Pipe is supplied as standard with a T type seal arrangement to SANS 50 545 ; ISO 2531 and BS EN 545 standards. Standard coating is zinc spray with a bitumen overcoat. Internal lining is centrifugally spun mortar. However the pipe is available on request in a variety of coatings and linings.
ProFlo Socketed Steel Pipe
Rare Water’s ProFlo range of steel pipe is in conformance to SABS 719 and is available in sizes DN200 to DN600. Pipe is supplied as standard with a medium density polyethylene external coating and a centrifugally spun mortar lining internally. In addition, the pipe is supplied with the innovative ProFlo socket design which allows for ease of installation and obviates the need for cathodic protection.
ProFlo in additin to iss standard spigot and socket arrangement can be supplied in a variety of end connections, coatings and linings to suit most applications. |
