Rare Chemical has just completed another successful installation for Anglo Ashanti Gold on the Vaal River Uranium Plant. Phillip Marishana, who was the project manager, stated that the challenge was on the wide range of HDPE pipe that was installed as the diameters varied from 710mm to 90m. The value of the project was R5.7m. Another point of interest is the fact that Simona fittings were utilised. Rare Chemical now distributes Simona in South Africa but also utilises this product in their own projects.
